How will you #makeitcount in 2012?

January 1st of any given year, is the first day for people all over the world to start working on their New Year’s resolutions. For Nike, they decided to build a support system for people to achieve those resolutions.

With the help of professional athletes like Cristiano Ronadlo, Dirk Nowitzki, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, Nike is asking everyone to join and pledge how they will #makeitcount in 2012. These athletes have already announced their resolutions for the year on Nike’s Twitter account and also posted some inspirational photos to help get you moving on Nike’s Instagram page, which has been curated by 13thWitness with photos inspired by tweets from the #makeitcount hashtag.

To further inspire people, Nike documented the NYC Bridge Runners Club NYE Flash Run across New York City, while the rest of the world was celebrating the new year.

Hallie and I will be announcing our resolutions or new Cleveland initiatives for 2012 very soon, but one of my personal resolutions is to achieve a new personal record at the Cleveland Marathon on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Thanks to my new Nike Element Shield Max running gear, I’ll be able to tear up the streets of the CLE during this harsh winter, starting tonight.
