Speakeasy Happy Hour

The Cleveland Museum of Art has done an amazing job with their signature Summer Solstice Party every summer. It is truly the best party in Cleveland, hands down. Most people don’t know that CMA continues this fun throughout the year. They do this through intimate exhibition openings. The first event since the Summer Solstice Party will be Youth and Beauty: Art of the American Twenties on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

We are very excited for this exhibit because it focuses on the Roaring Twenties, a time of great art, fashion and music. This is perfect timing for this exhibit because it will hold us over until we get to see the Jazz Age on the silver screen with Baz Luhrmann’s depiction of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby coming out later this year.

The Speakeasy Happy Hour for the opening of Youth and Beauty: Art of the American Twenties will be another great event at CMA and a perfect way to continue the high from the fourth annual Summer Solstice Party. Below are the details:

  • Live life-drawing from Dr. Sketchy Cleveland, with models and poses inspired by the exhibition
  • Music by Adam Ritenauer
  • Twenties dress-up optional but encouraged!
