The Rock Hall Ball

ROCK & ROLL WAS BORN IN CLEVELAND.

If you don’t believe it, ask any of the musicians that have roots in Ohio. Some of our favorite artists like Dave Grohl of Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of the Black Keys and Trent Reznor of NIN all came from Northeast Ohio.

In CLE We Trust

While the phrase “rock and roll” was coined by Alan Freed at a little radio station in Cleveland, it was the CLE that made the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum a reality. Our civic leaders pledged $65 million in public funds to the construction, a petition was signed by over 600,000 fans for Cleveland as the recipient city and we even received support from the rest of the United States in a USA Today poll that awarded Cleveland first place with over 100,000 more votes than competing cities.

Let’s continue to show the love and passion we have for this city and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and celebrate one of our greatest institutions on their 15th anniversary!
