Valor Acres is an up-and-coming mixed-use development set to redefine modern living and working in Northeast Ohio. Designed to integrate residential, commercial, and retail spaces into one unified environment, the development promises a vibrant lifestyle destination. Before this full vision could come to life, however, the first priority was occupancy—specifically filling Canvas at Valor Acres, the residential offering on campus. shark&minnow partnered with Valor Acres to craft a cohesive brand presence across digital, video, and media—driving leasing interest in the near term while laying the foundation for long-term engagement with the broader development.
The Challenge
As a property still under construction, Valor Acres needed to market a place not yet fully realized—while also driving immediate leasing for Canvas at Valor Acres. Complicating this effort, its digital presence was fractured across three microsites, separating residential living from the future mixed-use offerings and weakening the clarity and impact of its brand story. A strategic launch required unifying these elements under one cohesive narrative, elevating the residential brand in the short term while generating momentum for the development as a whole.
The Solution
shark&minnow approached the project through a multidisciplinary strategy: merging the existing microsites into a single, intuitive platform that guided users through both the immediate residential experience of Canvas at Valor Acres and the broader vision of the future development; producing branded video content that highlighted the amenities, lifestyle, and design of Canvas to boost leasing inquiries; and launching a targeted media campaign across print and digital channels to raise overall visibility. At the heart of this effort was the campaign concept “Valor Awaits”—a versatile message crafted to evoke anticipation and invite discovery. This unifying idea gave space for individual features of the development to shine, from dining and leisure to nature and community, while positioning the entire campus as a destination in the making. Together, these touchpoints worked in concert to inform, inspire, and engage.
The Outcome
With a unified digital presence and strategic campaign in place, Canvas at Valor Acres gained traction among prospective residents, supporting active leasing while building excitement for the broader Valor Acres development. The website now serves as both a marketing tool and storytelling platform, clearly articulating the present offerings and future promise of the site. Video content added energy and emotion to the brand, while the media campaign delivered measurable reach and engagement. What was once a fragmented footprint became a focused and future-ready identity—one that introduces Valor Acres not just as a place to live, but a community in the making.
