The Client

Westfield Insurance, the primary subsidiary of Westfield Group, is a multi-line provider of business property and liability insurance, personal lines insurance (including auto, homeowner’s and specialty), agribusiness insurance and surety bonds.

Westfield began as Ohio Farmers Insurance Company in 1848, when a group of farmers joined forces to insure their properties. Based in Westfield Center, Ohio, the company employs over 2,400 nationwide including 1,700 in their home office. It is the largest employer in Medina County. Westfield’s products are distributed through a network of more than 1,000 independent insurance agents.

The Challenge

Following an extensive Request for Proposal process, Westfield Insurance selected shark&minnow to develop Westfield’s new brand elements: New Farmer, Environment and Brand Identity Refresh to best represent Westfield for its next generation of customers.

The Solution

Brand Indentity System

Westfield invited shark&minnow to continue the partnership beyond the original scope of work to serve as the design strategist for the all-new and design the internal “One Westfield Day” – an internal corporate event to introduce the updated brand identity to all Westfield employees. In addition to the production details of the event, shark&minnow produced a Brand Anthem (broadcast quality) logo reveal and Culture video.

Immediately following the reveal of the logo, employees of Westfield and Westfield Bank were presented with a fashion show featuring clothing made from custom designed fabric. shark&minnow designed, styled and coordinated the first act of the fashion show presenting “Westfield Couture”.
